Simba’s Rock
A lion’s eye view
Serengeti Bushtops isn’t just the perfect place for a safari: it includes the ideal spot for a sundowner. We call it Simba’s Rock because Simba means lion and our favoured sundowner location is theirs too. If any large cats happen to be lounging on our spot when we arrive, we acknowledge their prior rights and move on to one of our alternative options.
As you settle down with a cocktail or your favourite evening drink, anything could happen: no sunset is ever the same as the last. You may see a burning disk slip gracefully from view, or a lightshow featuring nature’s colour scheme, flooding the horizon. One thing never changes though – and that’s the sense of peace and tranquillity, as you gaze out across the Serengeti plains, reconnecting with timeless nature.
Simba’s Rock sundowners are entirely private, exclusive to you as an individual, couple, family or group. The cost is $50 USD per person. (Children under 14 not permitted)
