Bushtops Camp Manager

Mara

Working at Bushtops Camps has been a Journey that’s taken me through my best career moments in Hospitality, from starting as a Sales and Reservations consultant in 2006 to becoming a Camp Manager with a team of experienced and highly trained staff. There has always been an opportunity and room for growth for any staff member willing to go the extra mile.

Bushtops Camp Manager

Serengeti

Having started my career as an assistant research scientist at the National Museums of Kenya in 2000, it was a big detour for me when I joined Bushtops Camps in 2009 as the first Head Ranger. Since then Bushtops Camps has moulded me, promoting me in 2012 to Assistant camp manager position, Camp Manager reliever in 2014 and then Camp Manager in 2016. In this career journey with Bushtops Camps, I have had the greatest opportunity to work with teams of most experienced, highly trained and motivated staff in both their Kenya and Tanzania properties.

Ranger

Serengeti

Working for Bushtops Camps has been a great journey for me as I started as a spotter in 2012 and was then promoted to a trainee ranger in 2018 and now I was recently promoted to a full ranger position. I appreciate the training Bushtops has given me to reach new heights in my professional career.. Furthermore, my community has been benefiting from the donations and support from Bushtops guests by supporting my local school in Bisalala with many things including structural developments, provision of desks for the pupils, reading and writing materials, water tanks, sanitary facility, furniture for teachers just to mention but a few. Bushtops engages many young people from my village giving them opportunity to get decent employment as spotters, security, guides making them more reliant to support conservation initiatives in my community.
