You can also scroll back up to 12 hours to catch wildlife sightings you may have missed—maybe even spot a couple of predators such as hyenas, lions, or a leopard! Most of the action happens between 10 AM – 4 PM Kenya time (GMT+3), but it’s also great to log on at 6:15 PM Kenya time (GMT+3), when the Maasai light a campfire where you can join for a virtual sundowner as the sun sets across the Mara.

The salt lick truly is something special. On my most recent visit to Mara Bushtops, I sat and enjoyed my lunch at a beautifully set table under a tree and watched as elephants, impalas, and giraffes wandered past, clearly enjoying the rich minerals in the pan. While I watched, a few cheeky zebras actually walked right into the camp to nibble on the green grass and roll in the soft sand surrounding the fire pit! At this camp, you don’t always have to be out on a game drive to experience the wild.

A Natural Wildlife Theatre

Elephants may wander through camp. A herd of buffalo might appear unexpectedly. What a privilege to just sit and simply observe. I particularly enjoyed spending time cooling off in the infinity pool by the Amani Spa whilst elephants strolled by.
