Each of our three camps is located in breath-taking settings.
Mara Bushtops and Serengeti Bushtops are fixed, allowing us to establish stunning facilities. The latest addition, Roving Bushtops, has pitched camp in the perfect Serengeti location from which to witness the annual migration for as long as possible.
The Camps are united by the vision of Andy and Claudia Stuart, whose dream for Bushtops was simple: to create the world’s best safari destinations. That has meant an uncompromising focus on quality, innovation and care.
Quality means chasing perfection: we know it is impossible but it remains our constant professional goal.
Innovation is about constantly improving everything we do.
And for us, care means maintaining the highest standards of respectful oversight – of guests, flora, fauna, our community, partners, conservation responsibilities and resources.
These beliefs grow from strong roots. Andy’s great grandfather Charles Cottar hunted in the Mara – and loved its wide open spaces. Charles’ grandson Glen set up the original Bushtops in 1977, with a rudimentary site being expanded by his son Calvin. When Andy and Claudia took over in 2005, they harnessed this pioneering spirit and added the creature comforts which make the Bushtops formula so compelling.
